A Toddy Maker is a purpose-built system for brewing coffee using a cold-brew extraction method. Here's the low down:
- It replaces heat with time. The brew takes 10-12 hours and uses only cold water.
- It produces an extract/syrup that can mixed with hot or cold water for an instant coffee... that tastes way better that instant powder!
- The resulting coffee extract is lower in acid and caffeine than regular coffee.
- You don't need a purpose built Toddy maker to brew your own cold brewed coffee, but it does make life easier!
- Cold brewed coffee has a wonderful flavor with no bitterness.
